While growing up, Kendra Saunders’ father was murdered by a corrupt police officer. She became a police officer herself in an attempt to help people from inside the system but soon felt that she was being held back by the rules and regulations of the job.
While on yet another disciplinary suspension for breaking the rules, she encountered Hawkman. The hero told her that she was a reincarnated Egyptian princess and that the two had been both heroes and lovers in their previous lives. She thought him insane and asked to be left alone. Surprised that she did not remember him, he agreed to leave, but insisted she accept a mace and flight harness, artefacts of her past life. She took the items just to be rid of him.
However, as time passed, she came to the realization that a hero could do things a police officer never could. They could work beyond the rules and do more to help people. She decided to put the equipment Hawkman had left to good use and became the heroine known as “Hawkgirl.”
Starro is a Star Conqueror. These nomadic and parasitic creatures roam the cosmos in two forms: motherstars and parasites. Motherstars are sentient, while parasites are extensions of the motherstar's consciousness. A parasite attaches itself to other sentient creatures, allowing the motherstar to control that creature's mind. Once controlled, the victims work toward growing more motherstars to go out and bring universal harmony to other planets—by conquering them.
Little did the Star Conqueror who came to be known as Starro know how difficult carrying that plan out on Earth would be!
Starro has little concern for what happens to the individuals it controls. They’re a tiny part of the whole. When Starro speaks to creatures it doesn't control, it does so telepathically, urging them to join in universal harmony.
On Wednesday, 15th October, players can use shooting stars to perform their own heroic deeds – when Stargirl goes live!
Unlike other heroes, the event leading Courtney Whitmore to becoming a hero wasn't tragedy. Instead, it was the breakup of her parent's marriage and her mother's remarriage to a man named Pat Dugan.
Courtney was miserable in her new life and blamed her stepfather. One day, looking through Pat’s belongings, she stumbled across the gear of 'The Star-Spangled Kid' and realized that Pat had once been the adult sidekick of a teenage hero. To make a mockery of Pat, she took his old gear to a school dance. Unfortunately, detecting someone wearing the Kid’s gear, one of Kid's old enemies thought there was a new Star-Spangled Kid and attacked the dance. Pat came to Courtney's aid in a suit of mechanized battle armour he had been secretly working on and the two defeated the old foe.
Exhilarated by the battle, Courtney decided to continue as a hero. Seeing how well she'd handled herself, and how it could help them grow closer as father and daughter, Pat agreed. However, there was one condition: He would have to fight alongside her as her guardian. Amused that he would now be her sidekick, Courtney agreed and took a shorter heroic name: Stargirl.

The Doomsday Device is located in the center of the map, and offers a brand new addition to the competitive game play, as well as a powerful attack against enemy structures or Champions. This destructive artifact is protected by a neutral turret and re-spawns every five minutes where it will need to be recaptured by either team.

Striking with lightning speed, The Flash is the consummate assassin-- in and out before you even realize he was there.

Used as an unwilling subject in a dangerous biomedical experiment, this former biologist uses her newfound power to command both plants and the weak minded. Armed with a potent bouquet of healing, crowd control, and damage, Poison Ivy is a strong addition to any team's roster.
Stalk through the night as Gaslight Catwoman, the Claws of Vengeance! Kidnapped at an early age and trained as an assassin, this graceful killer uses her lethal training to protect the weak.
