Instilling a breath of fresh air into the popular real-time-strategy genre, Mission Humanity is set far in the future and offers players the option of fighting to save or destroy the human species as they play as either human or alien faction. The plot involves the aftermath of a thwarted alien invasion of Earth, and humanity's attempts at exacting revenge. Gameplay occurs across 20 different planets, as the humans use captured and reverse-engineered alien weaponry against the former would-be conquerors. It is also possible to play the part of the aliens, repelling the human attack. Instead of flat-map based scenarios, Mission Humanitys battles are played out on spherical planets that can be fully explored. Additionally, players can advance and create bases on numerous planets and even share resources among the various sites.
