There's $250 Million in Gold at Stake!
It's time once again to embark on another investigative journey in the role of a private detective. Heading over to sunny California, you will now find yourself in the middle of San Francisco. But not everything is sunny and happy in the trendy town; that's because an incredible $250 million worth of solid gold has been stolen from an armored car!
The owner of this gold has now hired you to recover his lost fortune. It will take a lot of clue-hunting and questioning to unearth the identity of the thief, but all that work will certainly be worth it. That's because if you successful retrieve the gold, the owner will reward you with an impressive $20 million fee! You've got just 17 hours to do it. Are you up to the task?
Twenty-Five Clues Across Multiple Missions
As a hidden objects game, this title will challenge you to search high and low for an eclectic collection of clue items listed along the side of the screen. There are 25 different clues to be collected in all, but that doesn't mean that you only have to find 25 items.
Quite the contrary, in fact, since this game offers a great deal of depth and long-term playability. For each of the 25 clue items, you'll have to investigate several different locations around the city, each of which will provide you with about 10 different items to find. Considering that each clue item may entail up to four or five locations, this results in about 100 stages!
From the morbid prison cells of Alcatraz to the fun cable cars running down the road, from the quiet solitude of a Japanese garden to the bustling corridors of historic Chinatown, San Francisco has a lot to offer. Just make sure you stay on track. You're looking for gold!
Cryptic Clues for Private Investigators
Arriving at each of the varied locations around San Francisco, you will be presented with a target list of approximately ten different items to find. Some of these appear to be quite straightforward, like a lazy cat or a pair of scissors. Others, however, will require a little more effort.
For instance, one target item may be named solely as "guides trains." What exactly does that mean? In this case, it means you must find the representation of some train tracks. Other clues will involve multiple steps, including interaction with the otherwise static scene. For instance, you may need to find an egg and then place it in a nest (which you also have to find).
