The idea of Uprising--Join or Die is an enticing one and one that will convince gamers immediately of its potential for mayhem. Instead of being a reactive game, where troops respond to extraneous happenings, this one means the gamer has to lead from the front.Leading your army into battle and commanding is rather different than relying on infantry to beat off the baddies. The command interface could be better, but nonetheless does its job. As far as the shoot 'em up aspect goes, it's a great game, it could be described as Quake on wheels.The tactical mode is adequate and controlling allied forces can be difficult at times. This one is for young Napoleons or Wellingtons who prefer to be at the heart of the action, instead of on the periphery. --Paul Munford
