For all players who pre-ordered the game, their early-access Beta version will be automatically transformed into the full version of game at release time, unlocking the game's massive amount of content, and notably its fascinating dynamic campaign.
Narrated by CÚdric Le Dressay, CEO of Eugen Systems, this video explains in two minutes all there is to know about the fascinating, dynamic campaign of Wargame AirLand Battle. The video lets us discover all the original game mechanics of this innovative game mode, which would-be generals will get to experience for the first time next week, be it solo or in multiplayer against another player!
You will first handle in this campaign your army and your battle groups, on a huge strategic map representing Europe: ordering movements, asking for reinforcements, but also launching support strikes such as intelligence missions, special forces strikes, satellite spying, bombardment, tactical nuclear attacks, etc...
When a zone is under attack and you need to defend it, or when you send your own battle groups to assault, you are thrown at the heart of the spectacular battles happening in real-time. Your army is persistent all along the campaign: your units and battle groups will earn experience, making them perform better with every battle they survive.... but keep in mind losses are definitive as well.
Wargame: AirLand Battle Deck System Presentation Trailer (HD) 61.14MB - 77 downloads - 10 May, 2013
With commentary by Alexis Le Dressay, Creative Director of Eugen Systems, this one minute and a half video gives us an overview of the deck system and the possibilities it offers. Players may even already try it for themselves in the current multiplayer Beta.
With the Deck system, players can customize but also specialize their armies: they choose, from over 820 realistic units coming from 12 countries, the ones that will compose their army and the available reinforcements during their multiplayer battles. This way, they may create Decks adapted to their preferences and their strategies, or even Decks specifically built to counter the army of their opponent; or, Decks made to efficiently complement their teammates' armies during team matches.
Creating a specialized Deck allows specialization in specific areas such as airborne attacks, armored assaults, support and supplies, or mobile infantry. An elaborate bonus system allows players to create these decks, as well as "national" Decks, all while giving out exclusive bonuses that more generic decks will not have: higher performance prototype units, access to more reinforcements, or the availability of more units in a particular category.
Thanks to this Deck system, the strategic depth of the game climbs to another level, which is especially true in the new 10 versus 10 mode, which has been made available this week in the Beta!
This spectacular trailer gives us a real air show, with a few of the 150 aircraft of the game leading the dance. Cadenced with strafe-runs ,bombings, flaming engines and evasive maneuvers in a dogfight, this trailer offers a small glimpse at the many new strategic opportunities made possible thanks to the integration of air forces in the game. The video also lets us get a new glimpse at the new maps of Wargame AirLand Battle: more detailed, these showcase for the first time realistically rendered reliefs that will also have a significant impact on gameplay. Connoisseurs will easily recognize some of the aircraft leading the show in the video, such as the fearsome ground-attack aircraft Su-25 "Frogfoot", the multi-role fighter Mirage 2000C, the interceptor Mig-31 "Foxhound", or the A-4 "Skyhawk".

Wargame: AirLand Battle, is unveiled for the first time in this teaser video ! Planned for released for 2013, Wargame: AirLand Battle will bring the series to a brand new dimension. Today's video gives a glimpse of the spectacular new features to come!
Just like its predecessor, Wagame: AirLand Battle takes players through a series of conflicts commanding NATO and Warsaw Pact troops between 1975 & 1985 at a turning point of the Cold War. In this episode, war rages in Northern Europe, notably Scandinavia, whose architecture and magnificent landscapes are faithfully recreated in the game. Wargame: AirLand Battle allows players to command all military resources of the Cold War era from tanks to planes. A total of 150 planes strengthen the playable arsenal of the game, from fighters to bombers to electronic warfare planes. Four new nations and their vehicles join the original eight from the first installment, making a total of over 750 vehicles and combat units rendered in realistic detail! Wargame: AirLand Battle also brings authenticity to the next level thanks to a new weapons system, better handling of fire effects, and a new Urban Combat Interface (UCI) allowing for battle inside cities.
The solo campaign is composed of several new dynamic campaigns, during which players manage all aspects of battle by leading each squad of the Theater of Operation and making good use of reinforcements and strategic support. Wargame: AirLand Battle still allows customization of armies in solo and multiplayer modes thanks to the 'Deck' system, which is now being enhanced with an integrated 'viewer'. Ultimately, each decision made will have an impact on the tactical outcome of battles and evolution of the global conflict! Prepare to re-enter the Cold War in 2013!
