Monaco Grand Prix Racing Simulation 2 is the latest in the long line for Formula 1 games released for PlayStation One. Like its predecessors, Monaco Grand Prix Racing Simulation 2 covers all aspects of the Formula 1 world. Technically, it is extremely proficient, with the player being able to change any aspect of the racing car and racing tactics. The cars are presented well but as a result; little effort has been made to make the scenery just as presentable. The game runs fast and portrays the realism of speed very well. The game mechanics have been set a little high, making car handling difficult, thus stunting progression through the game. It contains the standard games modes which can be found in most racing games, although the player is given the opportunity to increase their cars capability through a trading section. Monaco Grand Prix Racing Simulation 2 is an adequate game. However, in a genre already saturated, this is not enough. - Alex Leung
