Retail Box ArtBefore you continue, you have to know one thing. Vib Ribbon is a crazy game. You are either going to love it or hate it with a passion. But where does one begin on such a title? The simple reviewer can't talk about the luscious graphics, because there aren't any, nor can the reviewer whittle on about the in-depth level structure and how the game boasts numerous missions and numerous options, because again there aren't any of those either. So what exactly has Vib Ribbon got going for it then? Well to start with, if you do end up loving this game, and the likelihood is that you will, then you can't help but notice that this game is very, very addictive. The premise is very simple. You play Vibri, a line drawn rabbit that hops, skips, and jumps his way along an infinitely long line called (strangely enough) the "Vib Ribbon". Whilst he listens to music that helps him keep moving, variations in sound cause the fabric of the Vib Ribbon to change its shape, creating obstacles that Vibri must avoid. The music supplied with the game allows an interesting array of shapes to loop, dodge and jump, whilst the real fun comes however, when you put your own music CDs in. Play Duran Duran and the game becomes very hard, whilst Holsts' Planets gives you suspense-filling levels. All in all, this game is very simple, very addictive and great for trying out your different CDs to see the results, however, be warned, this game is also quite hard and really quite strange.--Stuart Miles
