Square Enix announced that beginning with spring 2009 they will release three expansions for Final Fantasy XI. These expansions have been created by Masato Kato, one of the minds behind the original FINAL FANTASY XI storyline, and they will require the game and the Rise of the Zilart expansion. FINAL FANTASY XI is the first ever MMORPG released for Xbox 360, with a community of 500,000 players. Check the press release for details on each expansion.

Konami has released new screenshots from Eledees: The Adventures of Kai and Zero, a new Nintendo DS game that acts as a direct sequel to Eledees for Wii, released last year. The two titular heroes find themselves transported into a mysterious realm by a magical bus created by Kai’s inventor Father. As they get used to their surroundings, the pair must use all their skills to gather the Eledees they will need to assist their progression, with Kai making good use of his special capture gun, which is used to grab the evasive Eledees, and lift, manipulate and move any objects in his path. In addition to locating the various Eledees to power devices, players are also challenged with locating a new species of 'Omega' Eledees, who boast a wider range of abilities and act as side-kicks who accompany Kai through the vast stages. Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero will be available in Q1 2009.

We now have a new set of screenshots from ArmA 2, this sequel set in the near future, year 2009, in a fictional state of Chernarus, a post-Soviet country where civil war raged for over 2 painful years. As a leader of USMC Force Recon team, you are sent with your squad to prevent further civilian casualties and ensure ongoing stability in Chernarus. ArmA 2 promises to deliver a large-scale game world, authentic and extremely detailed modern units, weapons, vehicles and environments, challenging single player and a vast array of multiplayer options. Developed by Bohemia Interactive, ArmA 2 will be published in Europe by 505 Games in Q1 2009.
SouthPeak Games today introduced Mayor Ninja, a new character from Ninjatown for the Nintendo DS, a game based on the Shawnimals' designer toy line. If you like press conferences about every mundane happening in daily life, and parades, you'll love Mayor Ninja. Diplomatic to a fault, like most politicians he means well, but ends up causing more harm than good when al is said and done. Ninjatown is now available across North America, with a UK release being planned for November 28th.

Pinnacle Software released new screenshots from Football Director DS, the first football management game for the Nintendo DS, scheduled to be available on November 28th. Designed by veteran football management game designer Roger Womack and developed by Bradford-based Four Door Lemon, the game gives you control over first team, youth team and backroom staff and features realistic match simulation, post-match analysis of all matches, intuitive interface and lots of statistical records and tactical options.
