Electronic Arts announced the release of the hardbook comic for Dead Space. Acting as a prequel to the game, the comic tells the tale of a deep space mining colony that unexpectedly pulls an ancient and vicious alien life force from the dark rock. The Dead Space hardbook combines all 6 Dead Space comics written by Antony Johnson and illustrated by Ben Templesmith with exclusive cover art by Templesmith, an exclusive bonus art section, and a background section on the major characters.

Jagex released new screenshots from RuneScape High Detail, a new version of their MMO featuring a full graphics improvement. This version utilizes new technology to enhance the game graphics and, for the first time, runs the game in full screen through an internet browser. In related news, Jagex announced they appointed Vince Farquharson as head of RuneScape. Vince joins Jagex from THQ, where he worked as Creative Director and Development Director for three years, and has had previous experience at Empire Interactive, Computer Artworks and Bullfrog.

D3Publisher released new screens from Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard, a third-person shooter with a sense of humor, an original storyline and an off-the-wall cast of characters. Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard is written by 2008 Writer's Guild Award winning writer Dave Ellis and features the return of classic 80’s videogame action hero, Matt Hazard, and parodies some of the most beloved genres of games and pop culture. Developed by Vicious Cycle Software, Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard is scheduled for Q1 2009, for Xbox 360 and PS3.
