Both versions of Mushroom Men, Rise of the Fungi for Nintendo DS and The Spore Wars for Wii, have shipped to retail, Gamecock Media Group announced. Developed by Red Fly Studio, Mushroom Men shows gamers the mundane world from the surreal perspective of a three-inch-high Mushroom Man. Unnoticed by humans, a war rages between the spore factions. As a brave Bolete Mushroom Man, players are given the opportunity to wreak havoc by transforming common household trinkets and trash into weapons and tools. A new trailer and more screenshots have been added in our download area.

We have a new gameplay movie from 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, showcasing the 50 Cent: Bulletproof sequel due to ship in early 2009, for Xbox 360 and PS3. In 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, players will be able to play as one of the world's biggest hip-hop stars in an all-out battle to protect 50 Cent's assets and to collect payment from a crooked overlord. The game will feature multiplayer drop-in and drop-out co-op, interactive counter-kills, driving, and aerial combat. 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand is being developed by Swordfish Studios and will be published by THQ.

505 Games has announced Hotel for Dogs, a video game based on the upcoming feature film, "Hotel For Dogs", from DreamWorks Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies. In the Hotel for Dogs video game, players enter the old hotel to help two siblings, Andi and Bruce, feed and entertain an adorable collection of canines by building amazing gadgets, playing with the pooches and keeping the dogs happy in their new hotel home. Navigating through 10 levels of gameplay, players must accomplish various goals to keep their beloved canines healthy and amused. Players will even explore the areas outside of the hotel as they attempt to locate and rescue additional pups in need of some major TLC. Hotel for Dogs will hit the store shelves across North America on January 6th 2009, for PC, DS and Wii.

Carolina Games Summit Details Announced

The event includes video game tournaments, industry speakers, live music, educational sessions, and exhibition booths. Frogster Interactive today announced that the Runes of Magic open beta test will start on December 15th. Runes of Magic is a free-to-play MMO with over 600 quests embedded in an atmospheric world, six main classes, unique skills, impressive combo attacks and mounts in the later stages of the game. Players can choose from six main classes when starting into a new online career. According to individual preferences, they can select to play a warrior, ranger, cleric, knight, mage or a rogue. When a character reaches level 10, the player can select a secondary class, which augments the possible class combinations up to 30 individual combination types.
