Sony Computer Entertainment has released three small but funny TV spots for Afrika for the PlayStation 3, a game which is now available in Japan. Unfortunately, for the moment, there are no release dates available for North America and Europe, as the game is not planned to be released in these regions yet.

Disney Interactive Studios has released a new trailer for Pure, showcasing this game in the works at Black Rock Studio for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Pure features fast-paced quad racing with massive jumps and airborne tricks in photo-realistic settings all over the globe. Players start by choosing among a variety of male and female character riders. They can then either race against deft A.I. opponents or online players (up to 16-player multiplayer) in frenetic races and freestyle competitions all over the world.

SouthPeak Games today introduced Wee Devil, a new character from Ninjatown for the Nintendo DS, a game based on the Shawnimals' designer toy line. Wee Ninjas have an arch-enemy: The Wee Devil. Created by Mr. Demon to destroy all good things, the Wee Devils have a penchant for ruining Ninjatown, often throwing eggs at ninja houses, leaving banana peels on walkways and dishing out harsh wedgies to unsuspecting Wee Ninjas. Ninjatown is under development at Venan Entertainment in conjunction with Cashmere Productions and is scheduled to be available in October 2008.

dtp entertainment today released a trailer for Black Mirror 2, the adventure game sequel in the works at Hanover/Germany-based Cranberry Productions, formerly known as 4Head Studios. Developed as a classical point & click adventure, based on so-called 2.5D technologies, using a combination of highly detailed 2D backgrounds and 3D characters, Black Mirror 2 takes place in the 1990’s, twelve years after the first episode. Solitary Darren, hero of Black Mirror 2, meets cute Angelina while he is working at the local photo shop of Biddeford, a small town in New England. Angelina immediately understands to catch the eye of Darren´s despotic, unpopular boss. To add the mystery, there seems to be a third person interested in Angelina – Darren sees someone chasing her. He decides to investigate these incidents. His researches will soon lead him to several locations – such as the small English village of Willow Creek, that adventure game players know from the first title. Black Mirror 2 will be released in 2009.
