SOCOM: US Navy SEALs Confrontation Extraction Trailer

Sony Computer Entertainment has released a new HD trailer for SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation, showcasing this game in the works at Slant Six Games and due to hit the store shelves on September 16th, exclusively for PS3. SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation gives players the opportunity to battle against the best and brightest from the U.S., Europe and Asia. Additionally, players will be able to modify their appearance through facial and physical customization. The game features seven North African environments, including a 32-player version of the most popular SOCOM map of all time "Crossroads".

AFRIKA Japanese TV Spots Pack

Sony Computer Entertainment has released three small but funny TV spots for Afrika for the PlayStation 3, a game which is now available in Japan. Unfortunately, for the moment, there are no release dates available for North America and Europe, as the game is not planned to be released in these regions yet.

Pure GC 2008 Trailer

Disney Interactive Studios has released a new trailer for Pure, showcasing this game in the works at Black Rock Studio for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Pure features fast-paced quad racing with massive jumps and airborne tricks in photo-realistic settings all over the globe. Players start by choosing among a variety of male and female character riders. They can then either race against deft A.I. opponents or online players (up to 16-player multiplayer) in frenetic races and freestyle competitions all over the world.

Locksley Joins Rock Band

Harmonix and MTV Games announced that three tracks from Locksley are now available from the Rock Band Music Store catalog of downloadable content. Each track will be available for $.99 per track (80 Microsoft Points) for one month or the 3-pack for $2.99 (240 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) for one month. Prices good until September 29, 2008, when they return to the regular price point of $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) per track or the 3-pack for $5.49 (440 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360).

BioWare today revealed the first details on the Dragon Age Toolset. The company will be showcasing the toolset at the Penny Arcade Expo this weekend, so attendees will be the first ever to see the new toolset in action. Ninjatown Introduces Wee Devil

SouthPeak Games today introduced Wee Devil, a new character from Ninjatown for the Nintendo DS, a game based on the Shawnimals' designer toy line. Wee Ninjas have an arch-enemy: The Wee Devil. Created by Mr. Demon to destroy all good things, the Wee Devils have a penchant for ruining Ninjatown, often throwing eggs at ninja houses, leaving banana peels on walkways and dishing out harsh wedgies to unsuspecting Wee Ninjas. Ninjatown is under development at Venan Entertainment in conjunction with Cashmere Productions and is scheduled to be available in October 2008.

Black Mirror 2 GC 2008 Trailer

dtp entertainment today released a trailer for Black Mirror 2, the adventure game sequel in the works at Hanover/Germany-based Cranberry Productions, formerly known as 4Head Studios. Developed as a classical point & click adventure, based on so-called 2.5D technologies, using a combination of highly detailed 2D backgrounds and 3D characters, Black Mirror 2 takes place in the 1990’s, twelve years after the first episode. Solitary Darren, hero of Black Mirror 2, meets cute Angelina while he is working at the local photo shop of Biddeford, a small town in New England. Angelina immediately understands to catch the eye of Darren´s despotic, unpopular boss. To add the mystery, there seems to be a third person interested in Angelina – Darren sees someone chasing her. He decides to investigate these incidents. His researches will soon lead him to several locations – such as the small English village of Willow Creek, that adventure game players know from the first title. Black Mirror 2 will be released in 2009.
