The game offers swift space combat with you piloting a ship “into” the screen—and a near constant onslaught of attacking ships and other terrestrial hazards. The perspective is from behind your craft, which often has the screen lit up with streamers of enemy bullets and burning rocket fuel.

Aces gives you different weapons you can use, such as guns and torpedoes. Also, you can snag power-up icons at various points to help you out during the game’s 24 levels. Your progress also unlocks different ships you can use, each of which have varied capabilities. You can change the type of ship you’re using between levels.
